Why Hire a Cat Sitter?
What is the value of hiring a cat sitter? For some, it’s well known. For others, it may not be. Perhaps they find value instead by relying on a family member or neighbor for care, use boarding options, or simply avoid travel.
Hiring a cat sitter is much like hiring a babysitter for your child. You’re designating one person (or entity) responsible for the well-being of your loved one during your time spent away from them. That said, the value added comes into play for a few different reasons.

Not having to put out a relative/neighbor
By hiring a cat sitter to come to your home to care for your cat, the cat is able to stay where they are most comfortable. This is key especially when owners have left, routines may be different, and they have a new person in their environment. Additionally, cat sitters from a legitimate company are professionally trained and backed by insurance. Lastly, save that ‘favor’ you’re calling in from a neighbor and save that for the stick of butter you need down the road. Our neighbors and relatives are great but they may not understand cats the way a trained cat sitter does.
