Frequently Asked Questions.

FAQs

What areas do you offer your cat sitting services?

Our main focus is on the greater Twin Cities area including, Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs: St. Louis Park, Edina, Hopkins, Golden Valley, Robbinsdale, Brooklyn Park, New Brighton, and more. However, please reach out to us to confirm service at your specific location.

How much do your cat sitting services cost?

Other than the quality of care your cat will receive, we know that cost is one of the most important factors. We aim to keep our costs low but also fair to our employees and our operations. Check out our Services & Pricing for more information.

Do you offer boarding options?

No. MN Cat Co. travels to your home to provide what we believe to be the most comfortable sitting care for your cat.

How do we go about booking your cat sitting services?

Head over to our Contact Us page seen at the top of this page. The easiest way is to complete and submit the form - that gives us all the necessary information we need to process your interest. Otherwise just shoot us a text or give us a call or email us. We’ll always get back to you within 24 hours, usually within two.

When you're ready to book we’ll send you a questionnaire (so we can get to know your cat better), our service agreement and an invoice. We collect a 50% deposit up front and the remaining 50% is due by the first visit. Once the deposit has been paid and the service agreement signed, we’ll schedule the complimentary intro visit with you (only applicable to first time clients). We’re happy to review any questions about the service agreement with you during the intro visit as well.

How does payment work?

We collect a 50% deposit to book our services, and the remaining 50% is due by the first visit. This deposit is non-refundable should you decide to cancel. However, we can always apply that deposit to a future visit if your plans change! All payments should be made via credit card using our secure online payment system.

What is included in the Complimentary Intro Visit?

This visit is super important to us as it’s our first time getting to meet you and your cat in person (if they let us!). We’ll take time to try and get to know your cat and introduce ourselves. It’s also your time to show us or tell us anything specific you’d like us to know when caring for your cat. It could be their favorite toys, how to give their medication, etc. We’ll also review our service agreement together and coordinate the best way to access your home for visits. *Note, this visit takes place after you’ve signed our service agreement and made the 50% deposit payment.

What steps are you taking to manage the impacts from COVID-19?

Health & safety is one of our top priorities. We’re taking COVID-19 very seriously and our staff has taken measures to significantly minimize their presence outside their own homes. Our team uses sanitizer prior to entering your home and will immediately wash their hands upon arrival. Should anyone on our team fall ill with related symptoms, we’ll find a replacement right away. We’ll also let you know right away should there have been any potential risk of exposure between our staff and your home. We also take the health and safety of our team very seriously. Please notify us right away if you or anyone in your household is exposed to COVID prior to a visit, or within 10 days after a visit.

What if I need to cancel?

Life gets in the way and we totally understand that. As noted in our values - exceptional customer service is important to us and we see this as a partnership. Please let us know as far in advance if possible should you need to cancel. That said, as long as you let us know 24 hours out - we’re happy to transfer your deposit to a future visit. This applies to cancellations due to COVID-19 as well.
